« We would like to know if dogs like people have tonsils! Do they?

Well I have a Pembrooke Welsh Corgi dog, he is the friendliest dog ever. I am really wanting to get 2 kittens for myself in December for the holiday season. While he does well with other animals he has gotte barkish at other dogs in the house. He is 5 years old.
I had 2 cats when I first got the dog, I had to have them put down because they both got sick, they were 9 years old and very territorial. I am thinking, since the dog is much friendlier and younger then they were he would not have a problem with 2 new cats? Back then even though the cats gave him crap he did not seem to mind them.
My question is, if I bring the kittens into the house and he or the kittens do not respond as well as I would hope to one another, how do I slowly expose them to one another until the point that they do not mind having each other around?
Thanks! From down South. =)Slowly expose them, have the dog on a leash and the kittens in a crate. Get a little bit more and more closer until they are comfortable with eachother.
Dr. DogIts safe for dogs and kittens to socialize. You may see in cartoons that dogs chase cats, but that is actually not true. Your corgi is almost an adult and has grown mature now. Your corgi should be nice to 2 kittens. Are the dogs older than your corgi? Most friendly corgis are nice to younger dogs or kittens. Instead, your corgi is a role model to your future kittens, NOT their enemy. But sometimes corgis can be bossy and bark a lot. GOOD LUCK!
well we just got a kitten and what we did was we put all of her stuff in one room the every one in a while we would take one of my dogs and let them come in the room and let them sniff around and let her sniff the cat and know she is just in the room when we go to bed then she runs around the house all day and we have 3 dogs and our kitten is not even 1 yet and my dogs love her so that is what we did.Hope it helps.
OMG i have a corgi they are the sweetest dogs ever. mine loves having a kitty in the house but you know thats mine but i dont know about yours.
