i have a older dog i came home its eye is all mattered shute what would be the best way to clean itA warm wash cloth. The warmness will soften the mucas allowing it to be cleaned easier. This works on kids too when they have have conjuctivitus (pink eye)Get a wet soft cloth or paper towel and warm water. Gently wipe it until the debris is removed. You may want to keep an eye on it, as it could be some kind of infection or conjunctivitis. If the fluid coming from the eye has a green or yellow tint to it, this usually is sign of infection and you will need antibiotics to clear it up and a trip to the vet would be a good idea. Older dogs need to be watched a little more closely as their immune system isn’t as strong as it use to be. My vet recommends I clean the areas around the eyes with the same saline solution I use to clean my contacts. Use a cotton ball, not a swab, and wipe gently. The warm water will help to loosen, but the saline will disinfect any irritation.dos it have a yellowish greenish pus ?
one i would take a napkin and put warm water on it and lightly put it on the eye 4 time a day if the eye dosnt open in 2 days bring her to the vet but it should work if not she will need antibuyotics
a wet towel , not warn not too cool.
Good luck, is it watery, puss? if not just wipe it off with a wet towel.
Maybe, MAYBE visine to drain out anything that is othering the dog. You might want to check if visine can be used on dogs tho.A WARM wet towel (not too hot obviously you don’t want to hurt him) just keep wiping gently and keeping the towel warm, I have a lhaso apso and he always has eye problems…I think you should take a cloth towel, and add hot water on it-not too hot. then gently wipe it on his eye-be careful not to poke him! I hope this helps.a wet towel or a pet wipe or if it looks really bad go to the vetA warm wet dish cloth or wash cloth.Use a cotton bud and slowly wipe it offa wet towel. I dont know

I am in the process of researching about raw feeding, and have come to realize that there are 2 ways to go about it: buying the food pre-packaged or purchasing through a butcher.
I have a few questions to ask in regard to these methods:
1. Having read about the disadvantages of pre-packaged raw meals, the most important concern I have is whether they are worth the price and if it is actually balanced. I’ve heard of some companies that have added unnecessary vitamins as well as certain ingredients… how true do you suppose this is?
2. What method is preferred?
3. For those of you that have been feeding your dog a homemade raw diet, how do you calculate the phosphorus/calcium ratio?
From my understanding, the approximate feeding ratios for an adult dog are as follows:
Meat (muscle, meaty chicken carcasses, necks) 65-75%
Organs (heart, liver, stomach/tripe) 5-10%
Raw and meaty knuckle bones (for tooth cleaning etc) 5-15%
Vegetation (crushed or juiced) 5-25%
Supplements (cold pressed oil, mineral/vitamin supplements) … are these really needed?
4. Are there different feeding requirements for puppies? I am thinking about getting a German Shepherd pup a few months down the road (after I have done all my research in the breed, feeding and training thoroughly) and understand that protein and calcium levels must be measured carefully particularly for puppies that will grow to become large dogs… does anyone have knowledge on this?
The breeder I am purchasing from has her breeding stock and puppies on a pre-packaged raw food, so there should be no concerns on transition.
Thanks so much!
