« What are some good tips with breading my female Chihuahua?

The good news is our puppy is not acting like she is sick, her stool still runny and with just tiny blood in it. we been feeding her with just plain rice and plain chicken soup so she can also have some liquid in her. She is eating well and playing fine, she doesn’t appear to be a very sick dog. So I am really hoping that her body’s immune system will be able to fight it. She is only about 3 months old — a very active border collie. Does anybody think a puppy will survive on her own w/o any treatment after having serious diarrhea with little bit of blood in it???Seriously doubt it if you don’t take her to the vet. Its really bad if it turns out to be Parvo, Staph, Worms or worse. The last time I decided not to take my dog to see a vet who had blood in his runny stool, he died 5 days later even though I tried everything to cure him myself such as plain rice, chicken broth, karo syrup, plain yogurt, fasting, etc; he was only 6 years old and that was 5 years ago and I’m still burdened with great sorrow, remorse and guilt. Better safe than sorry is my motto now. Take the dog to the vet and ask for a payment plan, most vets will work with you and set up a payment plan.

鈾ヅ犗壝┾€犆┾櫏You need to get the puppy to a vet ASAP. Also- if you don’t have the funds for her to get seen, how do you think you have enough money to own a dog? They are not only a huge responsibility, but a serious expense too. Try working something out with a vet, a payment plan or something if possible, most likely they will do whatever they can to help a seriously sick puppy. Please help her! Good luck to you both. No…
Vets will take payments, and there are organizations to help people who need vet care.
She could have Parvo, a life-threatening disease. Could be worms, bloat, anything!!!
At 3 months old, she is not fully vaccinated against these types of illnesses. She needs to be seen immediately if you want her to stay alive and healthy.
ADD– RICE IS GOOD FOR DOGS!!! My vet has suggested it when they need bland diets, like after surgeries.Ooh, that doesn’t sound good. Would you avoid going to the doctor if you had constant blood in your stool? I understand about financial issues…but check around your area for state-funded vets. I know of one around me. Or call a vet and see if you can get on a payment plan. I hope your puppy is well. This really sucks but to be a responsible dog owner you need to be able to afford vetrinary care.blood in the stool means she needs vet care.
Chicken soup tends to have alot of salt in it, which can dehydrate her.. not a good idea.seriously your dog needs to go to the vet!!!!!! its serious!!!!!!
if you can’t afford to take care of your dog you shouldn’t have one……
just take her to the vet maybe they will let you work out payments or at least be able to make your dog more comfortable Your fine .. Give her some Karo syrup – corn syrup – or regular Maple syrup for some energy first… about a tbs for a pup her size every few hours until she starts feeling better.
Rice is good , ignore those commets.. they put rice in dog food because YES dogs do eat grains , and GRASS/greens and veggies !!
Rice in Chicken or Beef broth is great , it should help .. Add Canned pumpkin , Peanut butter ( Lots and lots of it ) , also one Immodium , Adult pill once in the morn and once in the evening until she stops.
To me sounds like bad worms or Gieardia- a parisite , You can get Fenbendizol in name brand form Safe-guard at a feed store or pet store.. its much more cost effective to buy it at the feed store for Goats/ cows in a liquid . 100mg/kg = 1cc per 4 lb of dog weight. It needs to be given for 5 days to be real effective.
Write me off my profile if you have more questions.. Look We don’t rush our Kids off to the Doctors every time they start throwing up or have Diarreah .. right .. so why should we put others down because they either cant or dont ??? Get over it .. if you cant be nice then ignore the Questions people !!
Sure.
A tiny bit of blood in the stools may not be a huge problem.
It could be caused by worms, colitis, stress, constipation, something it ingested.
A stool sample could be taken to the vet to rule out the first.
If the stools appear normal and the dog is eating well and acting fine I would keep a close eye on the dog for any changes in behavior.
Seriously though, if you can’t afford to provide the dog with routine vet care you should consider rehoming the dog.I didn’t think dogs or cats should eat rice because it can swell in their stomach and cause problems.
Not sure if its true – i just thought i heard it somewhere.hardly doubt it. Rice (grain) is no good for dogs or cats. You see they are Carnivorous animals, which means they eat meat.
I would stop the rice diet immediately.

He’s 7 months old. I started giving him Purina Puppy Chow, but after he’s tried some left overs falling from the table he wont touch the purina chow. When I was little I remember our dogs would eat anything either from our table or specially prepared for them. Our dogs got to live more than 14 years. I’m talking about more than 4 dogs. In my house , when I was little they didn’t cook very healthy. I do cook healthy, so my fam. as well as my puppy are getting healthy food. My puppy eats low fat meat & chicken, eggs, pasta, bread, cereals and fruit (specially apples). He doesn’t like vegetables though, only lettuce. Do you think this is ok?
